In this post, I will provide a detailed explanation of the hero Eddie, covering how to obtain him, upgrade his skills and talent tree, and integrate him with other heroes.
How to get Eddie?
The only way to obtain Eddie is by acquiring 10 of his fragments during the Infantry Top Commander Event. Unfortunately, this is the only method, and the Top Commander is a challenging competition where you need to rank at least top 15 to obtain 10 fragments.
Talent trees
Eddie is an infantry commander. His secondary abilities are Defense and Siege. You can use Eddie as your siege commander or on the field. Personally, I don’t prefer the Siege talent tree, so if you want to use him as the leader, I recommend filling up the Defense talent tree and the Infantry Squad talent tree. My build for Eddie would look like this:
Skills
- Great Feast: deals damage to a single target with a damage factor of 11,300 and gains a shield for 2 seconds (shield factor of 2,500)
- Crisis Cook: increases the infantry squad defense by up to 30% and when the remaining squad size is less than 30%, it increases the squad counter damage by up to 15%
- Brash Hunter: When leading infantry squads only, it increases the squad counter damage by up to 44%
- Abyss Devourer: Increases the infantry squad HP by up to 30%. During siege basic attacks have 20% chance to reduce the enemy’s squad HP by 25% for 2 seconds. A 20% chance on a basic attack is roughly 2 effects over 3 rounds. One round is 5-6 basic attacks plus the skill damage. This effect can only happen every 6 seconds.
- Ravenous Ambition: When the shield is broken or disappears, it reduces the HP of up to 3 nearby enemy squads by 20% for 2 seconds.
How to upgrade his skills?
For every fighting hero, you need to upgrade the 1st skill (the raging skill) first. I recommend upgrading the 3rd skill next, followed by the 2nd, and finally the 4th. The suggested order is 1, 3, 2, 4. You want to upgrade the 3rd skill because it happens all the time, then the 2nd because you’ll be on the field more than in siege, and finally the 4th.
How to combine Eddie?
Eddie is an infantry commander and is best paired with other infantry heroes. In my opinion, he is one of the best infantry heroes in the game. Eddie produces a shield and gives HP debuffs to the enemy squad. You need to find another hero to synergize with the shield and HP debuff. The best hero to pair with Eddie is Robert. The Robert/Eddie combination forms a very powerful squad. I also think Eddie should always be the assistant unless you need a tanky squad. You’ll make more damage with a leader who has the Skill talent tree. Another good pair would be Adut/Eddie. I love this squad for siege, and it’s very strong and robust on the field.
If you need a very tanky squad, you can use Raigoro/Eddie, which provides a lot of shields and great counter damage. You can also use Eddie as the leader for buff/debuff squads such as Eddie/Bianca or Eddie/Lee.

Eddie is a must-have hero. He is probably one of the best heroes you can have on the field for your infantry squad. I would definitely recommend using your legendary fragments to upgrade him. Whether you have one or two infantry squads, you can either use Adut/Eddie or Robert/Eddie.
