Elena

In this post, I’ll explain in detail the hero Elena, how to get her, how to upgrade her skills and talent tree, and how to combine her with other heroes.

How to get Elena?

Similar to other heroes, you need to acquire 10 fragments to unlock Elena.. Elena is a roulette hero, which means you can acquire her solely by playing the Lucky Roulette (and winning 10 fragments) during the Rider Top Commander event. You can also buy daily boost packs once Elena is available in the daily boost section in the mall to obtain her 10 fragments.

Talent trees

Elena is a Rider Squad hero, which means she is best used to lead rider troops. It doesn’t mean you have to max out her rider squad talent tree. Her two secondary abilities are general and skills. For maximum damage, I recommend fully upgrading her skill talent tree first and then investing some points in her rider squad tree. Essentially, her talent trees would look like this:

Skills

  1. Enforced Justice: Deals damage to one target every second for 3 seconds with a damage factor of up to 5,400, for a total of 16,200 damage factor. If the target is flanked (at least 2 squads attacking the same target), the damage factor will be increased to 5,950 and therefore, you’ll get an extra 450 damage factor every seconds. On the field, if you focus one squad with at least 2 squads, that bonus will always be present. And you will deal a total damage factor of 17,850 which makes Elena the highest damage dealer on a single target!
  2. Tactical Rollover: When you receive a zone damage, there’s a 90% chance to reduce the damage received by up to 40%. This effect can be triggered only once every 6 seconds.
  3. Ambush: Increases Rider squad defense by up to 30% and increases damage dealt to flanked targets by up to 13.5%
  4. High Noon: Increases basic attack damage by up to 30% and when the rage is above 50% (or 500) basic attack damage increases by up to 53%
  5. Mounted Law: This is a new skill and it increases the Rider squad attack and traveling speed by 20%.

How to upgrade her skills?

For every fighting hero, you need to upgrade the 1st skill, the raging skill, first. Then, I would upgrade the 4th skill next, followed by the 3rd, and finally the 2nd. The suggested order would be 1, 4, 3, 2. The 4th skill gives you more damage, then the 3rd because the stats apply all the time and you have extra damage and finally the 2nd because it doesn’t apply all the time, only once every 6 seconds with 90% probability.

How to combine Elena?

As Elena has a skill talent tree, it is better to use her as a squad leader. However, she can also be used as the assistant. She can be combined with any rider hero like Catherine, Freya, Sven, Bella, Felix or Chasey. She combines best with an hero that can debuff the enemy squad or has a good synergy with her increased basic attack damage. Here are some possibilities you can use:

  • Elena/Felix: Elena here is first because her damage factor is higher and therefore you’ll make more damage as overtime you lose troops from other squads attacking your squad or just by the counter attack of the squad you target.
  • Bella/Elena: As I mentioned the order is important. Bella has to be first because she increases the targets damage taken, allowing Elena to deal more damage.
  • Elena/ Mai: Good speed and very good damage and zone damage.
  • Elena/Chasey: Here, you also have a good synergy to increase the basic attack damage. However, Chasey is more of a garrison hero so it’s not the best option.

Conclusion

With the arrival of the new rider heroes Felix and Chasey, Elena has definitely obtained her S tier hero. She is one the best rider hero to focus on, better than Bella in my opinion. I would definitely use your legendary fragment on her and use her in your first rider squad.
